I hope that your weekend was enjoyable and productive towards the ends of your existential experience of this mortal coil that we call life.
This week, I’ll be spending four days from Monday July 27th to Thursday July 30th transferring and updating content from the old Shhhh! Digital Media website to this brand new structure.
This process involves a lot of optimization and taking care of things I’d been putting off for years, so its going to be a bit of a slow and tedious process, but once done it will make producing new content so much better, and that is exactly the kind of thing I needed as I’d almost arrived at the point where I was ready to quit.
So on Friday July 31, I’ll be demonstrating what the future of Shhhh! Digital Media has to offer, and that direction will be exactly how we venture into the first week of August.
Today I’ll be focusing on getting Grand Tapestry of Moments 02: Fe & Fi and Grand Tapestry 01: Paskus Maskwa – Rising Bear imported into the new format. The rest of the week will involve a mixture of cleaning up the links in these previously published stories so that they continue to function as they once did. After all, the trail of how we got here is often an entire story on its own and links to other content is certainly part of that trail.
Creativity isn’t about efficiency or “cookie cuttering” everything into manageable predictable chunks, and then putting it together according to some kind of template formula that seems to comprise all stories, however, when it comes to the presentation of creativity in a predictably searchable format, that the end-users can peruse easily at their own pace, these tools are an indispensible ally of creativity. What good is even the best story, if you can’t find it, or find its connections to other content in the same creative universe?
There’s a lot more in store for Shhhh! Digital Media, and our partners/allies in the future and beyond. I have to say that since taking on this immense task recently, that it almost feels like starting over.
