This text is a complete rewrite and update of the origin storyline of Alicia Westin, Helayne Ying (formerly Heylyn Yates), Monique Defleur and Valerie Aspen. It heavily expands upon many elements of the original story, while introducing many supporting characters early on in the story. You’ll also see how the antagonists of the story rise in power. This storyline is far more detailed and gritty, expanding upon the early beginnings of the women in the story, their ascension to adulthood and struggles and triumphs along the way.
Warning: This version of the Butterfly Dragon origins story is intended for an adult audience. It contains depictions of sexuality, nudity, violence and many adult situations. Reader discretion is highly advised.

Also an admiring nod to the Physics and Science community, which makes up a good portion of their table talk, with a good measure of philosophy as an added dessert.
A Non-Canon Book Draft: The Original Butterfly Dragon II

Long before I transformed the short story What Different Eyes See into a full length novel that became the sequel to Heroes of Our Own, this written draft was to be the original Butterfly Dragon II, and would introduce Dragon Butterfly as a very different character than she was founded in the canon version of her story, though even that has been replaced in Butterfly Dragon Reimagined.
I borrowed elements of this version of the sequel when writing Butterfly Dragon Reimagined as I wanted to give character to the underground elements that drive the whole story. I eventually ended up scrapping the entire idea, as the storyline eventually put Butterfly Dragon into a position that I did not want her character to end up in, nor represent. This one lost out to What Different Eyes See, given the fact that WDES focuses on the moral issue of bringing a life saving medicine to the world, and having it covered by the equivalent of a world healthcare insurance system.
Dragon Butterfly’s plight depicted in the unpublished version of her story (below) would come to the surface more effectively in The Two Butterflies Episode 10 when she deals with the no means yes attitude of her date in the chapter: The Two As They Are.
This version of the Butterfly Dragon sequel also includes an interest character. A Ballerina who adapts her skill as a dancer into a martial art. She was going to be a significant plot element in the book and eventually end up with her own episodic series. When I decided to can this sequel, I shelved the Ballerina idea. In a way, I was pretty excited to see that a very similar idea arrived in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina, which does justice to an already great action flick franchise by introducing a female protagonist.

The canon sequel of Butterfly Dragon I: Heroes of Our Own, this book is essentially my fantasy dream vacation of Asia, had I ever been able to afford it. Seeing as IRL, it appeared that I probably wouldn’t be able to afford it, I decided to write it, and bring the cast of Butterfly Dragon with me. I was still a little rough under the collar when I wrote it, but it turned out alright and I am proud of what I was able to achieve with it. Not to mention, it really gives life and character to the supporting cast members, and a lot of depth and history to locations throughout Asia. Especially with regard to Asia’s history of education and medicine. A gentle and adventurous kiss to one of the greatest loves of my life.
