Over the weekend, I dealt with a particularly devastating social attack upon my person by an ideological group I’ve previously spent some time exposing. Needless to say, if you were reading my previous updates post, I added a rather long winded rant that ran on for some time as a sort of counter to deal with that attack.
Damage Control
There are no issues of narcotics use or mental illness that lead to that sort of response on my part, though the ideological group who conducts these attacks specifically time them as a means of implying some kind of manipulation or control over my person, and as a means to attack me as a writer and content creator, and even in attempt to steal my content from me and attribute it to others and that seems to be the work of an ideological cult who confuse and confound people by swapping their identities and situations with those of other people. If for instance I explain and expose this, there are people in these ideological groups that will claim I’m someone else other than myself, and even refer to people whose situations are similar in order to take away the authenticity of my own existence and experiences and erase them, and attribute them to other more “authentic” people.
On The Issue of Authenticity
You could say that authenticity is the new identity denial weapon of choice used by ideological cults, though authenticity as a concept also has some merit. For instance, backing up my female characters with women in the world that are actually involved in similar vocation and activity. Women in sciences for Alicia and Zheng. Women in business for Valerie. Women in modeling for Monique. Women in fashion design and martial arts for Helayne Ying. Not exactly a form of sponsorship, but more a tribute to credible references and certainly a better option than to silence authors or to simply force artists to only create art that focuses on their exact situation in order to retain authenticity. Actually, authenticity sounds to me a lot like auditing over the consistency of a person’s life with their output, and there are ideological groups whose entire purpose is to steal from other people based upon consistency and inconsistency. That idea is exactly what leads to caste systems as well, which essentially act to prevent the unprivileged from attaining the rights of creative expression or ascension. Authenticity is a double edged sword that should be used with caution, lest it becomes the means to gag artists and writers.
Regardless, everything I posted I meant and it all still stands and it will return in a much cleaned up and better formatted version and I will continue my efforts to expose this ideological group in its entirety and how it operates in every aspect.
On YouTube Content
I am not a YouTube video producer in the sense that I myself present videos, though I sometimes compose music and produce audiobooks of my written stories that I publish the two YouTube channels I have, but I’ve rarely if ever appeared in my own videos and am not a video host or presenter of YouTube content in the traditional sense. Ie, my channels are mostly faceless channels that host my music compositions, and the audiobook versions of some of my written material on Shhhh! Digital Media. There are also short form videos that present a variety of video content produced for the purposes of visual representation of characters and scenery alike. That YouTube content is and always has been entirely a Canadian brand that is produced in Canada.
None of this content is produced within the shelter system, either by clients or workers and the reason that I must make that statement is because the majority of people attempting to lay claim to the content are either residents of the shelter, or people outside of the shelter that are and have been attributing my work to those in the shelter or shelter workers, while completely denying me of any right to my own work, the credit for its creation and my existence. An issue that will be dealt with legally, and as much so, exposed in its entirety as to its motives, membership and its nature.
On The Issue Of Social Attacks
One thing that I have uncovered is that these ideological groups often obscure their activities by creating situations where the people they victimize are actually being used as substitute proxies for other conflicts that occur elsewhere and involve other people and their situations which are similar to the threats posed by the ideological group against their individual target. As a substitute proxy for example, the ideological group will associate the target as a proxy to another conflict between people, and then use that to claim that the target’s experiencing of difficulties arose from the other situation and people involved for which they’re a proxy rather than their own experiences. Often these proxies are politically heated situations that if you expose that aspect, you risk stepping out into the territory of controversy or possibly hate speech violations. In this sense, they’re almost always traps designed to trick a target into a situation that brings them into confrontation with the law.
However, these situations also involve hate crimes in and of themselves on the part of the perpetrators because they almost always involve replacing the cultural and religious identity of the target with that of someone else, and in Canada that’s a hate crime, albeit a very difficult one to investigate and prosecute and seeing as most hate crime offenses are resolved through tribunals and most often involve fines or denial of access to services they aren’t effective as a means to stifling such activity versus the amount of time and resources one must put forth to rely upon those services. They take resources that those struggling through difficult situations to protect their business and content simply don’t have, especially during the early stages of development. There’s also the issue of the fact that by creating controversy over a person’s content with regard to disputed ownership, it can scare potential investors and sponsors away. Most of the ideological groups that do this are essentially trying to systematically prevent their targets from earning a living and entirely destroying every means of income, essentially driving their victims into the underground economy. Its economic warfare essentially. The best way to fight that kind of warfare though, is through information warfare and it is quite effective so long as its factual and within the confines of the law.
So in order to deal with these ever increasing in volatility threats, many of which are simply social games for these ideological groups with the goal of wreaking havoc on the lives of the people they target, I am going to be expanding Shhhh! Digital Media once again with a non-fiction expositional series that will publish about two episodes a month, with each containing a detailed exposé of aspects of these activities, drawn from a variety of intelligence and reference sources, which I will do my best to provide citations and bibliographical references where necessary. The importance of this series however will focus upon awareness rather than alarmism. A content creator getting into the flow of that life’s vocation can benefit from being aware of the pitfalls and predators that exist in the online and offline communities, amongst both of which there are lurking dangers about which one should be cautious and aware. The topics will expose the deepest secrets of ideologies, their terminology, their communications and their methodology, ie every aspect of how they go about targeting and wreaking havoc upon others, leaving no branch or leaf unturned. It will be the most comprehensive such reference there is of this nature online, and it will be managed with tags and hopefully at some point soon include a search facility.
My regular content will continue as usual while I attempt to catch up with transferring the original Shhhh! Digital Media content from the old site to this site, and regular production of episodes should only be minimally affected.
One thing that will be happening that I decided upon as a result of the most recent issues is that I will be going back to episode 6 or 7 of Butterfly Dragon Reimagined, and rewriting the story from that point, changing significantly many aspects of the storyline to steer it back into line with its predecessor, while expanding upon the story in ways that reflect events in our world, very similar to how Era of the Spellbound is currently taking place during the time of COVID, and is dealing with the issue of isolation in a most fitting way. These changes to Butterfly Dragon Reimagined will take it in the same direction from the original story, but add so much more to the entire storyline. The original Butterfly Dragon will once again be published here as well, and I’ll try to have that up before the new year.
Most of my day today will be spent taking care of other aspects of managing my work and business, and recovery from the latest attacks. I’ll be back to writing and producing artwork by tomorrow (Tuesday September 15, 2026).
I’m Brian Joseph Johns and this is Shhhh! Digital Media
