Hi. Brian Joseph Johns here.
I’m just doing this post to let you know that I’m still planning on posting new content and even doing some writing today, but I’m currently busy with coding for Shhhh! Digital Media related projects.
I plan to work on Butterfly Dragon a bit more today, and then I’ll be shifting focus over to Era of the Spellbound sometime next week. I’ll also try to get Grand Tapestry of Moments Episode 04 done next week, though my writing workload is growing considering that I’ll be concurrently working on both Butterfly Dragon Reimagined (Heroes of Our Own) and The Two Butterflies Reimagined at the same time, which will update everything and change considerably the unfolding of the plot of Two Butterflies.
So you’ll get to see Alicia, Helayne, Monique, Valerie, Zheng, Myung and Aikiko from their youth and through the adventure that follows a very similar storyline to the original Heroes of Our Own, then jumping ahead about six years into the events just after What Different Eyes See and the Two Dragons. Everything in between will also eventually be brought up to date as well, but I’m focusing on their origin, and the Two Butterflies storylines as they also include We Who Stand On Guard and Night Boat, which will also be changed and updated considerably. The rewrite of Reimagined is still taking place and that will basically proceed from their graduation onward. I’ll get those episodes up as soon as I can.
When I’m done coding, I’ll take a short break and then get back to posting content here.
I hope that everyone’s having a good weekend and see you soon 🙂
Here’s some nostalgia for you, which will give you an idea of just how far Shhhh! Digital Media has come because this was created and posted originally in December 2015… and though it was put together very ambitiously back then, I look at it now and cringe on everything except for the visual look of the Butterfly Dragon’s makeup and mask. This was around the time that I started working toward a new costume design for her, specially one that would adhere to her connection to dragons via her dragonscale armour. That suit arrived in 2016 when I published most of What Different Eyes See, the sequel to Heroes of Our Own. Keep in mind that despite the proximity to holidays that I support everyone’s right to belief and non-belief of any kind and that I still retain my own Secular Atheist Agnostic that leans toward Buddhism, Taoism and Shintoism identity.

My name isn’t Trent, but I do have an old Samsung Galaxy SM-G386W with a woman who looks remarkably like the woman below, though without a mask. I used that phone to enjoy some entertainment after a night of speaking with Qwen Studio about consciousness, quaternions, sedonians, octonians, number theory and Fermat’s last theorem.
