I managed to get a quick and short update to Night Boat, which is pretty remarmarkable. Rest assured, you'll have many updates over the month of December. Not to mention, you'll have a few more over the course of the weekend, and certainly one or more that might really get you going!
Oh, and thank you Disney for making that decision for me.
Feels like I'm home again...
However...
The Butterfly Dragon is still red,
and the Sanctum is blue(-ish green... actually indigo or cyan),
roses are sweet as Shaela and Nelony,
and so you all of these things.
See you tomorrow :-)
I've got some movies to watch and some creative artwork to appreciate! :-)
btw, Wolverine And Deadpool (the first 1/3) is awesome!
Its a total comic book nerd's dream. I only wish that there were some comic book nerds who were amongst my close friends (especially Russell Haines), were here with us to see how all of Stan Lee's, Jack Kirby's, Todd Macfarlane's (yes, he penned and wrote the third phase of Spiderman and defined much of its current canon), Joel Shuster's, Jerry Siegel's, Bob Kane's, Stephen Spielberg's and of course George Lucas' incredible work in creating such worlds and adventures has become the modern myth.
I'm very proud to call myself a writer, with creators like the Wolverine And Deadpool team making such awesome tributes to our modern myths. A thousand years from now, when archaeologists are digging up the remains of our civilization, Wolverine And Deadpool will be regarded as the apex of our capacity for mythic proportions as it comically does away with taking itself seriously, the characters are so awesomely nostalgic and funny and yet, it so much makes room in the appetite of audiences for other effects shy, story strong experiences of the last forty years, and certainly those to come.
It reminds us why the story tellers who thousands of years ago guided us from around a pyre, led to the dawn of civilization.
I only wish that I could live another thousand years to see all of what's in store for us story wise, because often its the stories that sew the roots that inspire real life exploration that uncovers things about the universe that is beyond imagination.
I'll be watching the the last 2/3 on Saturday night, at the same time that I'm pickling my liver with good drink. ;-)
Brian Joseph Johns...
And no, I'm not Ron Silk and I'm not Bobby. I'm myself. The only person that I know how to be. ;-)
