Just got back from an outting into the community and am getting ready to start another day.
I did manage to get a lot of research done last night in Unreal Engine for my upcoming project, which I'm hoping will see an early limited preview release by late December/early January.
Two steps forward, one backward if you know what I mean.
Regardless, and despite yesterday's pseudo-rant, I'll be working today in Unreal Engine for a while and at some point later in the day, I'll return to writing and artwork for the stories, with The Two Butterflies getting priority for the time being.
Lost Riff will return, but I've got to deal with the meanies first. Lost Riff is one of the hardest stories I've ever written in terms of dancing the fine line, especially with the Sanctum Seclorum representing what it does, that it leaves very little room for the kind of indulgence to be found in Lost Riff. Its a tribute, but taking that time and effort to do so has certainly stirred up a lot of mixed feelings in people. But sometimes you have to persevere for those of yester-year who paved the way forward, despite the indulgence and antics that occurred along the way. Remember, someday, any of you who are in your twenties will arrive at your sixties. You'd better hope that the young generation of that time has a similar perspective, because you might end up with the exit that you gave to others when you were younger.
As people get older, they become more vulnerable as those they once knew disappear one by one, until they are alone with nobody to account for them or their life. At such point, there are a lot of people who'd take advantage of such isolated persons and the elderly, but remember: the exit you give to others, is the one you'll receive.
As you get older, the people you knew are going to dwindle in numbers, and before you know it, there will only be a few of you left. When you're at that vulnerable moment and mostly alone, that's when the people you inspired (or ired) will show up, and hopefully when you need it the most.
So, I'll return with that story soon, but first I have some Epic stuff to do, and then some Epic Butterfly Dragon moments to scribe.
Don't let people steal or replace your identity. There are lots of people doing that sort of thing bujt believe me, it will catch up with them eventually, and when it does... you get the exit you give.
I'm Brian Joseph Johns. I'm not Michael Jacks.
I'll see you soon in writing,
