A Quick Update For December 2, 2024...

This is me, Brian Joseph Johns, as of today, December 2, 2024,
Taken at 200 Sherbourne Street Suite 701, in the office of
Shhhh! Digital Media as I worked on redesign of the web site.

What Have I Been Up To?

Hi again, Brian Joseph Johns here, writer and CEO of Shhhh! Digital Media (this web site).

I've been redesigning the layout of Shhhh! Digital Media and tightening up the design and haven't managed to get to writing updates to the stories as I'd hoped.

That will definitely be my priority after I've finalized the changes to the website's design. I will resume writing of the stories from the Butterfly Dragon episodes and something else I've in store.

Imposters?

As well, I wanted to make people aware that there are some imposters out there, though they might be people who share the same or similar name to myself, but are not writers or contributors to this site.

Perhaps they have their own creative avenues though and I'd certainly never want to discourage anyone from pursuing their own ends in that regard in an honest manner.

I will tell you that my contact emails for Shhhh! Digital Media are officially as follows:

brian.joseph.johns@shhhhdigital.com

info@shhhhdigital.com

None of my gmail accounts (those emails ending in @gmail.com) include my own first or last name. I've had difficulty in the past with such people who've attempted such actions as taking my identity or even the credit for my content, and so any time I get a warning sign, I prefer to make you aware.

I now spend every day working in front of the camera while I do any work on Shhhh! Digital Media, so there's no real mistaking me for someone else as I keep plenty to associate myself with my efforts.

Just so there's no confusion, I do not work as a security guard, nor am I a guitar player, but security is and can be a good line of work for an honest person looking to make a difference, and guitar is certainly a great instrument in the hands of a proficient player. I am certainly not of such proficiency myself, but I admire those who are. I've always been a piano and keyboards kind of guy, myself.

The near future will bring a lot of new stuff to Shhhh! Digital Media, and revisit some of the old as well. After getting the site to where I'd like it, my first priority will be to getting the stories on track and the artwork moving forward again and the only reason for this most recent detour has to do with a recent hardware failure I experienced over the weekend, which led to my having to reinstall the operating system for the third time in the last three weeks. Having a bad ATA cable and not checking it properly can really take a lot of productive time from your life. I'm lucky I found it at all before deciding to throw out a perfectly good hard disk.

Entertainment

Finally, I managed to watch Wolverine And Deadpool in its entirety this weekend and what an awesome comic book movie with a heart it was. Great story that didn't waste time getting right down to the matters at hand, not to mention, for a long time comic book fan like me, to see two heavies like Wolverine and Deadpool take their frustrations out on each other was even more ironically hilarious than it was in the comics themselves. Not to mention, the return of an entire generation of heroes who collectively deserve their own movie was astounding. Can't wait to see a series or movie teamup with Elektra, X-23, Gambit and Blade.

The only regret I had about the plot was that they didn't bring back the original Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu), and have her and the original and Psylocke (Olivia Munn), make amends with Wolverine, and then join the fray on his side. Perhaps in some future series or movie? I'd beg and grovel for an entire year to see that happen. ;-)

Regardless, it was well put together and the writing was great for its given traditional comic book venue. Especially the two male leads coming to terms with their own sense of self inadequacy, despite the somewhat socio/psychopathic tendencies of some of the characters, both villains and heroes. Very entertaining and insightful movie about redemption and mortality from the perspective of two of Marvel's most notable immortal heroes.

See you soon with some new stuff :-)
