A Day's Walk...

Greetings and salutations. Brian Joseph Johns here.

Just a quick update and some news on some of my recent exploits.

I took most of Saturday to "walk", literally, for exercise and a chance to get out and see the city, though at first it was to do a bank transfer between my RBC account and my CIBC account in order to ensure a bill gets paid (before a certain date or else). Ironically, the CIBC ATMs wouldn't accept my cash deposit with the cash I'd taken from my RBC account. Maybe a conspiracy to make it seem that I do other things with my cash withdrawals from ATMs? The entire sum of money I withdrew is safe and sound and awaiting Monday when I will deposit the money myself at the bank.

So the first part of my trip took me down to Front Street, which I took my cat with me for the walk. I just wanted to get him familiar with going out like that because in the future I plan on taking him on outtings (with a leash), though like me, he's a little resistant to the idea of being kept on a leash, so I carried him.

The second trip was my attempt to find another CIBC atm, and that took me on one of the longest walks I've been on for my life. I think the TTC are great, but I wanted to get some exercise in order to fight my case of "desk jockey atrophy of the muscles". It turns out that walk was very good for physiology and my muscles. For most of my walk, I ranted into an internet based voice recorder on my phone. A part of my journalling process and also a measure to maintain my sanity.

It was great to see many great places in the city, and there was a festival going on throughout the day in many communities, so it was awesome to get out and see my home city up close once again. Many of the communities were decorated and in many parks, there were musical concerts. So it was an adventure, but as usual, I always forget that I have a phone with a camera and had taken no pictures. Not only that, but I'm very cautious about getting other people on camera. Not out of any belief or ideology, just for the simple fact to preserve their privacy and their enjoyment of such events. Next time though, I will definitely get photos and post them here.

I was convinced I'd done at least 5 kilometers and when I got home, my legs had finally stopped functioning altogether. I slept for a few hours and when I woke up, over a cup of tea, I used Google Earth to calculate the distance I'd walked. I was astonished to find that I'd walk 14.4 kilometers (8.2 miles).

Overall, it was great to get out and to see Toronto, especially my favourite places throughout the city and also to get out to the west end in areas like Roncesvale and Queen Street and Dundas Street West, where there are many great cafes and restaurants, not to mention some awesome art galleries.

I think the whole trip was very therapeutic, and despite the stalking and harassment I'd experienced throughout the whole trip, it was actually very enjoyable. Identity theft attempts were also present but I averted most of them. The harassment cult are about to get their just due.

So, to the rest of you who enjoy Shhhh! Digital Media content and support my work here on Shhhh! Digital Media, thank you and have a great weekend. Look forward to more content next week.

PS: To the lady and the Massage Spa that offered me an authentic traditional massage (presumably Shiatsu as the lady indicated that the masseuse was Japanese), I am so grateful that you offered that to me, and please don't take my refusal as anything other than innocent. I am very grateful for that, myself being a big fan of Southeast Asian Massage Spa culture. Perhaps at some time in the future, I will come myself and seek such a medically proven healthy and invigorating for treat myself.

Do I Work?

Hi again. Brian Joseph Johns here.

It seems that the issue as to whether I work or not has come up recently, and I've decided to answer deal with that question here.

First of all, as a business owner (yes, Shhhh! Digital Media is a legally registered business), I spend many hours working on aspects of Shhhh! Digital Media that never becomes content on the website. Instead, its all the things necessary to keep Shhhh! Digital Media going, and that includes sticking to a plan for the future.

Most (certainly not all) businesses and startups don't turn a profit in the first two years of their operation, and for some, this initial phase of founding a business can be even longer, especially when you consider how long it takes to get sizeable or concept rich projects off of the ground.

Outside of what you see here on Shhhh! Digital Media, there has been lots of work to keep all of that going and it has been a struggle. That load falls directly in my lap, alone.

Then there's the actual writing and content production (all of the writing and most of artwork is my duty). That work takes up another slew of time, and that part is and can be very hard work at times. Not physically hard, but mentally.

Finally, there are the future projects. The ones that you won't see for some time but which are being worked on while the content on the website is being produced and the aspects related to running the business are worked on.

Do I work? Absolutely. Every single day (six days a week, sometimes seven). Most weeks I clock about 50 hours, but that doesn't include all the off hours time I put in as well, which would bring my weekly hours to about 70 or 80 hours a week. My record week is 100 hours.

Do I get paid for all of that? Not as much as I'd like to be paid, but that will come in time, because its an investment.

I do my budget every two weeks, for the business and for my own personal life on a spreadsheet (bills, grocery etc) as I like to be efficient.

So the answer is, that I do work and I work very hard every week to ensure that the content keeps coming on Shhhh! Digital Media.

I don't say the opposite of what I mean.

Taking The Rest Of The Week...

Hi again. Brian Joseph Johns here.

It turns out that the harassment attack from yesterday grew to become quite big and certainly very aggressive on the part of the harassers. As a result I've chosen to take the rest of the week off to recover, but I will be dealing with this and it certainly doesn't mean that I'm running scared. Quite the opposite in fact.

Just to reassure you, there are no other issues involved, ie I don't have a narcotics dependency of any kind (in fact I don't use them at all), and there are certainly no legal issues on my part, but they've overstepped legal boundaries.

I believe that this group is giving the wrong impression about my person, possibly using someone else's identity to replace my own so that people get a much different impression about my lifestyle than is factual. For instance, a group trying to pass me off as being a Jamaican or African Zionist, which I am undoubtedly not with all due respect. The tactics of these harassers involve the use of situations they setup illegally in the past with the intent later to pressure me or provoke reactions, having taken advantage of me at a more naive time in my life, though my actions were not of a criminal nature. I think their intent is also to steer me away from the culture of my real life love interest and towards someone of their choosing, specific to culture and blood.

I think that the motive is to use these situations to provoke reactions from me that seem consistent with someone else's life, which this harassment group then use to imply that I'm either that specific person, or alternately in the most bizarre sense, that I'm possessed by them and that everything I've done over that time period should be credited to the members of their harassment cult. In fact, this is their form of auditing, figuring out who should get the credit for efforts that originate from another person's life, using the aforementioned tactics (they aren't Scientology just to clarify, but that is not an endorsement).

The group then uses that justification to take the credit for anything created here and thus far, to keep me hidden, treating me as if I am dead or simply don't exist. There are further legal implications that connect them to an outlaw organization and that their activities are of a criminal nature and with criminal intent. The scariest part is that this group may have preplanned this entire effort, knowing that they could reap the rewards at a later date. That matter is under investigation, no illusions here.

I will be back to continue writing, focusing on Two Butterflies Episode 12 first, and then We Who Stand On Guard Episode 9, earliest Saturday and if not, then on Monday, first thing in the morning.

Taking A Day Off...

I've decided to take a day off today and destress a bit, not to mention I'm having problems with the local harassers who are very, very active today.

Its difficult to focus on my writing and work so I'll take a break and use the time for other things and hopefully the local bullies will be less active in the future.

See you tomorrow hopefully!

And by the way, I'm sticking with my Shhhh! Digital colours, like you see at the top on the logo.

For some reason, when the harassment cult disagree with something you've said, they take away your identity. I'm still very much Brian Joseph Johns, as much so as I've been and will be and FYI, I don't smoke anything.

I'll reveal everything about this cult over the next three weeks.

Updates Continuing And Artwork Coming Soon...

Hi. Brian Joseph Johns here.

Artwork

You can expect some artwork later this week, though I'm not going to promise anything as I'm more focused on doing the writing and getting as much of it done as I can, and on the side working on design elements for my Unreal Engine project.

When it comes to compositing 3D and 2D artwork for the site, I prefer working in Adobe Photoshop, going to Corel Painter occasionally for FX. I won't have access to Photoshop until October and I'd prefer not using anything else unless absolutely necessary.

As I've stated, I've been stretching myself a little thin but I'll try to catch up soon.

Writing

I'm focusing on The Two Butterflies - Episode 12 and We Who Stand On Guard - Episode 9 over the course of this and next week. Wesley Donahue's story needs an extensive introduction, especially with how it ties into Linda Delmore's connection to the Butterfly Dragon storyline.

Linda Delmore first appeared in The Butterfly Dragon II: What Different Eyes See - Vietnam Special Addition (note the spelling of addition rather than edition, as that chapter was added after the first draft of the book was initially completed). This chapter was first published separately from the book in 2018 and eventually integrated into the book and timeline.

YouTube

There is more Shhhh! Digital Media content at my YouTube site at https://youtube.shhhhdigital.com, but keep in mind that it is very much in a backroom garage state of being and in need of a professional look and presence.

In helping out a friend of mine (John Paul Young, creator of New Wave band Cardboard Brains), I host some of his music there, though all of Cardboard Brains music is indicated both in the videos themselves and the video title details, including relevant information for SOCAN. The official Cardboard Brains site can be found here at https://www.ermiescub.com and eventually, once John Paul Young's admin has set it up, at https://www.cardboardbrains.com.

Some of John Paul Young & Cardboard Brains tunes available on my site include:

Caesar Drives A Fast Car

Worlds Within A Dream
(one of my personal favourites)

Not to mention, I've even included some of his music within the chapters of my writing, as I often do to liven up the media content and promote other artists. Music really gives anything it accompanies atmosphere.

I used to compose music myself (I'm a piano and keyboard player) but haven't been playing or practicing for quite some time, so most of what you'll find on the YouTube site is promo content directly related to Shhhh! Digital Media (all of whose music I composed and you can hear below), and occasional live streams and some of my own older music. Again, the livestreams are a bit rough around the edges, so be forewarned.

The modern Shhhh! Digital Media content though is presentable:

The Butterfly Dragon New Year 2024 Promo
(one of my personal favourites)

Shaela Sheowellyn's Monologue from just before the
climax of A Lady's Prerogative II: Wounded Aerth
(you can't beat Shaela for sheer intensity)

Butterfly Dragon: Two Butterflies - Episode 11 Short Concept Video

Early A Lady's Prerogative Aerth Mother Lyra Animation from a Promo

Most Recent A Lady's Prerogative Aerth Mother Lyra Animation
(downloadable from Shhhh! Digital Media on this post)

Butterfly Dragon Animation I Did From 2015
(her original costume and wings still make me cringe)

The song Just An Illusion is actually played on keyboard, not guitar and that's the case of every version I released of it. In the first version, the entire song was played in one take as a MIDI track whose performance data was routed through an incredible guitar VST instrument included as part of the software package on M-Audio Keyboards.

As I stated earlier, the YouTube channel itself is more in a garage state of affairs than it is a professional presence. In the future I'll be focusing on correcting that once the bigger projects with regard to the books and stories here are done.

Thanks for reading and using the digital content here on Shhhh! Digital Media. I'll see you soon with some great new stories and chapters for the existing ones...
